Question: I paid my photographer, don’t I own the photograph(s)?
Answer: No. But any or all of the copyright owner’s exclusive rights or any subdivision of those rights may be transferred, but the transfer of exclusive rights is not valid unless that transfer is in writing and signed by the owner of the rights conveyed or such owner’s duly authorized agent.
Question: Can I post images i’ve purchased on Social Media?
Answer: Yes, if you agree to the social medias terms of service. Examples are below.

Question: Can I request that you do not use my images?
Answer: No, the reason we use images is to advertise our services or social media, our website, and advertising platforms. No form of your identity is ever shared without express permission.

The Studio/Photographer reserves the right to use images created under this contract for advertising, display, publication or other purposes. The Client signing this contract warrants that he or she has actual authority to agree to the use of the likeness of all persons included in the portrait in this manner and shall indemnify and defend the Studio / Photographer in the event of litigation arising out of such use. Negatives, digital files and previews remain the exclusive property of this Studio/Photographer.

Answer: If the finished photo fits into our brand then we will post it on social media ( Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Etc ) and our websites SRQHeadshots.com and SarasotaPhotoStudio.com. We will use text and hashtags to describe many types of industries, facial features, locations, business, and photo terms that may not pertain to you specifically.
